Job description
American Traveler is looking for a Physical Therapist for an inpatient role at a critical access hospital, requiring a PT degree and BLS certification.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in physical therapy or a related field required
1-2 years of related experience required
Current BLS certification required
Current California Physical Therapy license or eligibility for registration required (license required if applicable)
Valid California driver's license and evidence of auto insurance required when travel is involved
APTA membership preferred
Inpatient care experience strongly preferred
Strong analytical skills to interpret physician orders and develop effective treatment plans
Strong oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
Day shift, inpatient physical therapy in a 25-bed acute critical access hospital
Schedule is Monday through Friday, five 8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No call requirements
Administers APTA standard physical therapy treatments for disabilities, injuries, and diseases to relieve pain and restore motor function
Works under limited supervision and interacts professionally with patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff
Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates match travel rates
Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
