Required Certifications: Adult RT- BLS, ACLS, RRT
NICU RT- BLS, NRP, RRT
Skills required: Adult RT- draw ABGs, assist with intubations, BIPAP, CPAP, Nebs, ventilator management, inhalers
NICU RT- Intubate, ventilator management, delivery attendance, nitrate oxide admin, BIPAP, CPAP, nebs, etc.
Support on the Unit: CNA (Ratio)
Receptionist/HUC: 24/7
Charge nurse: free floating
Hospitalist: 24/7
Neonatologist in house 24/7
NICU RT Dept, PT, OT, ST dedicated to NICU
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Shift times: , ,
Schedule cycle: every 3 weeks
Weekend rotation: Every 3rd Weekend
On call? If so, what is that schedule: Yes
NICU RTs: a varied call schedule
Adult RTs: none
Holiday Expectations: rotation per department standard
Scrub Color: Any color
Free Parking: Free, East parking structure on the 3rd floor or higher

Medication dispensing: Pyxis
Capsule Neuron
Floating: If yes, where? The NICU RTs can float between Allis and Sinai- in rotation
Orientation: (facility and unit) Two day Orientation
