Job Opportunity – Respiratory Therapist (Pediatric/Adult) – Anchorage, AK 99508
Start Date: October 2026
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, variable day and night shifts (07:00-19:00 or 19:00-07:30). Weekend coverage required. Floating within scope to NICU, PICU, and Adult ICU as needed.
Highlights:
Work in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
Comprehensive critical care experience across 28-bed Adult ICU, 9-bed PICU, and 66-bed Level 3 NICU
Advanced respiratory therapy including NIV, high flow, nitric oxide, Flolan nebulizer, and multiple ventilator platforms (Draeger, Servo-I, 3100A/B, Jet ventilators)
Support for open heart surgery patients and full spectrum of respiratory therapies including CPT, nebulizers, and specialized treatments
13 or 26-week assignment options available with 36 hours of orientation
Epic charting system with free parking provided
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Level 3 or 4 NICU or PICU experience required
Current Alaska state license or compact license (pending licenses accepted but must be in hand for offer)
BLS and CRT certifications required; ACLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT preferred
Trauma experience required; strongly prefer candidates with experience across Level 3 NICU/PICU and Adult ICU settings
Experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Servo-I ventilators preferred
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Availability to work 2-3 major holidays required, including Christmas
Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
