Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift community hospital role requiring 2+ years L&D and postpartum experience with travel experience required.
Details
Community hospital setting within the Labor and Delivery unit
Assignment mix of approximately 80% L&D and 20% Mother/Baby/Postpartum
Patient ratio of 1:2
Weekend rotation coverage required, to be discussed during interview
Flexibility for floating within the hospital as needed
Uses Paragon charting system, with future transition to Epic planned
Requirements
Active LA state or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of L&D experience with postpartum experience required
Travel experience required
Required certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate
Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, FHM
Community hospital experience required
Charting system experience required (any system accepted)
One professional reference required
Disclosure of any license disciplinary actions required at time of consideration
Additional Information
Provide nursing care across labor, delivery, and postpartum/mother-baby units
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
Minimal RTO requests preferred, including around holidays
Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Orientation includes a virtual first day followed by two on-site days with additional EMR training
Candidates with recent professional cancellations will be reviewed prior to approval
