Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for a night shift assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.
Requirements
Active RN license (TX or compact) required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care or related specialty
Knowledge of non-titratable drips (amiodarone, Cardizem) preferred
Tracheostomy care experience preferred
No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
Progressive Care Unit (Intermediate Care Unit) within a hospital setting
34-bed unit staffed with 44 team members including RNs, charge nurses, and CNAs
Patient ratio of 1:4
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week assignment length
4 weekend shifts required per schedule
Floating to Med/Surg required
Provide direct patient care within a progressive/intermediate care setting
Royal Blue scrub attire required
Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
High performer with resiliency, accountability, and integrity preferred as best personality fit
