Job Details
Status: Full time | Hours per week: 40 | Schedule: Varies | Pay Range: $51.05 - $76.60 per hour
Job Summary
Participates in team‑focused patient care by means of patient examinations augmented by diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations or interventions in the medical and/or surgical theaters of health care. The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and examinations.
Assist urologists in procedures and manage pre‑operative and post‑operative care.
Develop patient care plans using medical decision‑making skills.
Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
Explain the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
Perform procedural skills as per department or practice guidelines.
Collaborate with other members of the medical team for effective team‑based care.
Participate in basic science and clinical research projects.
Precept students and/or medical learners as encouraged.
Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitment.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Work under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization with departmental specific credentialing.
Qualifications
Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred.
Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, certified by NCCPA.
Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required to start.
Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing required to start.
Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program; Master’s degree or higher required.
Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license.
Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required to start.
Current DEA and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration for prescription writing required to start.
