Whova is hiring a full-time, in-house User Experience Quality Assurance Analyst/Coordinator located in San Diego, CA.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just know how to manage projects—they know how to hold the line on quality, accountability, and results. You’ll be contributing to the documentation, functionality, optimization, and overall quality assurance of all user-facing aspects of Whova’s applications. You’ll partner closely with our QA Automation team, lead outsourced testers, and stay hands‑on with manual testing. Most importantly, you’ll be the person who owns the quality process—catching what automated systems miss and ensuring that our standards don’t slip, even under pressure.

Whova revolutionizes event engagement and attendee networking by providing the Whova mobile app and event management software for conferences and trade shows globally every day.

Whova is a fast‑growing company with brand‑name customers, including US‑Bank, L’Oreal, Hilton, LEGO, Vetafore, NASA, IKEA, TEDx, etc. We are proud to receive the San Diego Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in San Diego award , 5 years in a row. We also won the Fastest Growing Private Companies award for 3 years. More recently, we won Event Technology Awards’ Best Product Team Award and Global Top Rated Product Award . Currently, we are named as G2’s Global Top 50 Best Software .

Who Thrives in This Role

We’ve found that our most successful project managers fall into two groups:

High-Standard Enforcers : People who hold themselves—and others—to a high bar. They don’t accept vague excuses and they prioritize results over emotional reasoning or politics.

Process-Driven Executors : Quietly meticulous, highly organized professionals who make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

If you see yourself in either group, you might be a fit.

Responsibilities

Create, find, and implement processes for manual testing.

Manage outsourced testers: assign tasks, review deliverables, and keep timelines tight.

Create and maintain testing acceptance criteria and scenarios for our applications.

Collect testing needs from our project teams and determine priorities that are consistent with business goals and objectives.

Track and document bugs and issues clearly for developers.

Validate features and fixes before they ship.

Maintain internal documentation for system behavior and processes.

Proactively identify quality risks and gaps before they become problems.

Requirements

Required Education : Bachelor’s Degree or higher in cognitive science, human‑computer interaction, computer science, or other related fields.

Demonstrated experience in QA and user‑facing application testing.

Familiarity with software development life cycles and testing methodologies.

Organized, structured, and efficient—especially under pressure.

Experience with issue/bug/defect tracking tools.

Experience in written requirements and use cases.

Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What We Offer

Salary: $45K-$50K per year, based on relevant experience in UI/UX, Quality Assurance, or related fields.

Paid holidays & vacation.

Two company-provided lunches and Bagel Wednesdays.

A collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

The opportunity to contribute directly to a globally top-ranked product (awarded by G2, Event Technology Awards, and others).

If you’re someone who thrives on precision, takes ownership seriously, and wants to contribute to a product that’s used worldwide—we want to hear from you.
