Job description
The Cat Doctor is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. The Cat Doctor is a progressive, well-equipped hospital. We are a proud part of a family of four practices that are a tight-knit group of amazing people (Mineola, Garden City Park Animal Hospital, The Cat Doctor, and New Hyde Park Animal Hospital). Our daily mission is to treat every patient with the same love, attention, and care that we give our own pets. We have a fantastic team - we are a group of highly trained and experienced animal lovers dedicated to giving the best care possible. Responsibilities
Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of cats, and treat surgically or medically
Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in well pet care
Perform dentals
Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all: staff, clients, and pets
Qualifications
Must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
Internship training is also preferred but not required
Eligibility for New York Veterinary Licensure
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $140,000-$160,000 base salary + plus pro sal
