Vocational Counselor – Remington, VA

As a Vocational Counselor, you'll connect people with opportunities while building relationships with individuals, employers, and the local community.
What You'll Do
Identify clients' strengths, interests, and career goals.
Develop individualized employment plans and provide career guidance.
Assist with resumes, applications, interview preparation, and job readiness.
Provide job coaching and support during onboarding and employment.
Build relationships with local employers and identify employment opportunities.
Support workplace accommodations and assistive technology when needed.
Provide ongoing support to promote workplace success and career growth.
Maintain accurate client and service documentation.
What We're Looking For
You qualify through one of the following pathways:
Required:
A relevant work or life experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.
Experience in the following is a plus:
Vocational rehabilitation
Employment services or job coaching
Workforce development
Human or disability services
Case management
Working with veterans or individuals with disabilities
