Vaco is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance and Accounting for a growing organization located in the Scottsdale area.

Local candidates to Arizona will only be considered at the moment.

Responsibilities include:Lead Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee preparation of financial statements, ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, manage audits, tax filings, and internal controls.

Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement financial systems and process enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and growth.

Strategic Advisory Role: Function as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, aligning financial strategy with business goals and providing actionable insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A and other departments to deliver consolidated reports, KPIs, and variance analyses for informed decision-making.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance is required.

CPA is required.

8+ years' accounting and financial management experience is required

7+ years Controller or 5+ years of Dir of Accounting Experience is required.

Public Accounting experience is required.

Comprehensive understanding of financial analysis methods and techniques and great expertise of GAAP and IFRS, internal control principles, closing/reporting processes.

Must be able to work 5 days onsite at the office- no flexibility.

With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
