Job description
Water Systems SpecialistPrestige H2O is growing and seeking experienced Water Systems Specialists to provide coverage throughout the Lansing and Kalamazoo areas.This is a hands-on field position supporting drinking water, municipal wastewater, and industrial wastewater treatment systems at multiple client facilities within an assigned service area.Multiple positions may be available. Candidates with a strong wastewater background and multiple Michigan wastewater certifications are especially encouraged to apply.What You'll DoOperate and inspect drinking water and wastewater treatment systemsPerform routine water and wastewater sampling and testingMonitor treatment processes and make operational adjustments as neededInspect wells, treatment equipment, distribution systems, lift stations, lagoons, clarifiers, filtration systems, and related equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and assist with system repairsTroubleshoot pumps, motors, controls, floats, piping, and treatment equipmentMaintain required operational logs and documentationAssist with regulatory compliance and reportingRespond to service calls and emergency situations when necessaryTravel between client facilities within the assigned service areaWork independently as well as alongside other Prestige H2O team membersRequired & Preferred QualificationsWe are looking for dependable, mechanically inclined, self-motivated professionals with strong troubleshooting skills who are comfortable working independently at multiple client facilities.Drinking Water Certifications – PreferredS-4 or higherD-4 or higherIndustrial Wastewater Certifications – PreferredA-1bA-1fB-2aC-2aC-2cC-3aC-3bAdditional municipal or industrial wastewater certifications are strongly valued.We will consider the overall combination of licenses, hands-on experience, and ability to operate multiple treatment systems. Strong wastewater licensing and experience may be considered even without all preferred drinking water certifications.A valid driver's license is required.What We're Looking ForHands-on water or wastewater treatment experienceStrong mechanical and troubleshooting abilitiesMichigan water and/or wastewater certificationsThe ability to work independently in the fieldStrong attention to operational procedures and documentationDependability and a strong work ethicThe ability to travel between multiple client facilitiesDon't have every certification listed?
