Job description
Welder and FabricatorJoin a leading global manufacturer of vehicle-mounted aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and bridge inspection equipment. This position focuses on welding tasks related to customizing and installing aerial lifts and truck bodies, ensuring the durability and structural integrity of our equipment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with operational hours from 2:30 PM to 1 AM Monday to Thursday, and overtime on Fridays.ResponsibilitiesWeld metal components and assemblies using MIG techniques.Read and interpret blueprints, process routings, and schematics to install truck body components.Construct and fabricate parts according to specifications using hand tools and welding equipment.Identify and requisition parts required for fabrication or repair work.Inspect and evaluate welds for conformance to specifications and overall quality.Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.Maintain welding tools and equipment in proper working condition.Troubleshoot and resolve basic welding and fabrication issues.Flex into other departments or tasks as production needs require.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in MIG welding techniques.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Skill in using hand and power tools.Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanically inclined with strong mechanical aptitude.Experience in maintenance repair and fabrication.Ability to work second shifts in the future.Why Work Here?Enjoy comprehensive family-inclusive health coverage, competitive wages, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. The production layout is designed for heavy manufacturing processes, utilizing overhead cranes, industrial laser cutters, and dedicated quality assurance zones.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
