Job description
Welder/FitterWe are currently hiring welders/fitters for a growing structural steel fabrication company. This is a great opportunity to join a team working on custom, large-scale steel projects with opportunities for advancement based on skill level and experience. Pay range (based on experience):Fitter/Welder Cat 2: $19/hr to $24/hr (Entry-Level | 6+ months experience)Fitter/Welder Cat 3: $23/hr to $29/hr (Intermediate | 1+ year experience)Fitter/Welder Cat 4: $28/hr to $34/hr (Advanced | 3+ years experience)Job responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbolsFit, align, and tack-weld structural steel componentsPerform MIG (GMAW) and/or FCAW weldingFabricate parts using tools such as grinders, torches, and cutting equipmentMeasure and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and qualityGrind, drill, and clean components during fabricationOperate forklifts and overhead cranes safelyMaintain a clean and organized work environmentWork closely with team members to meet production deadlinesWork environment & physical requirements:Ability to stand, kneel, and work in physically demanding conditionsLift 50+ lbs as neededWork in a shop environment, occasionally outdoors or at heightsMust wear required PPE (helmet, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, FR clothing)Benefits of working with Express:Medical planHoliday pay (6 days observed)401 K retirement savings planReferral bonusTrainingWeekly pay
