Job description

Weld SupervisorThe Weld Supervisor is in charge of monitoring the weld technicians in welding processes to ensure the integrity and quality of our products, always seeking to optimize resources and continuous improvement.Core competencies include customer focus, communication, energy and stress, team work, problem solving, accountability and dependability, ethics and integrity, and analytical skills.Training requirements include new employee orientation, competent person/due diligence training, project management, failure mode effects and analysis (FMEA), measurement system analysis (MSA), statistical analysis, APQP/ANQP, geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T), six sigma experimental design, ergonomics, quality standards, customer specifications and acceptance criteria, cost structure, manufacture of assembly devices, pneumatic and power tools, lean manufacturing, total productive maintenance (TPM), poka-yoke, PPAP, welding processes, robots, Ford customer system, customer specific requirements, Minitab software, PAX software, spin fire software, software and hardware soldering, troubleshooting, industrial lubrication, supervisor leadership training, and technical train in the trainer certification.Job duties include addressing flaws in welding equipment in coordination with maintenance personnel, monitoring procedures and work instructions, supporting improvements to optimize welding performance, confirming results through tear down and monitoring, validating and keeping records of welding conditions, analyzing and submitting proposals for performance improvements, developing and monitoring instructions for rework of weld defects, capturing and maintaining monthly records of welding parameters, collaborating in the continuous improvement of the plant, active participation in the implementation and development of quality, environmental, and hoshin systems, and management of the environmental management system (EMS) and quality management system (QMS).Requirements include a technical degree in a related field or three years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment, strong organizational and communication skills, ISO 14000 system, welding standards, reports welding production, continuous improvement, ISO TS 16949 system, leadership, proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office, ability to work effectively alone and prioritize, motivation, service and team orientation, enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives, strong analytical ability, supervisory and interpersonal skills, troubleshooting ability, strong decision making and problem solving skills, good internal customer service skills, good presentation skills, and good computer skills.Working conditions include the physical ability to lift 25lbs, travel as necessary, manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals, and overtime as required.
