The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.Hourly wage: $25.45/h (weekly pay)Weekends availability: Sat / SunDuties and responsibilities included but not limited to:Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the postGive the alarm and assist in response to a fire or the emergencyPatrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicleEnforce company and client policiesObserve, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control DispatchRespond to incidentsProtect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the postOne will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect lifeObserve, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presenceOfficers will remain on the post and wait until they have a face-to-face reliefProvide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerMonitor for irregular or unusual activitySecure facility and designated areasEnforce facility and company policies and proceduresInvestigate and prepare reports on incidents.Qualifications:Must have min 5 years of verified armed security experience (Law Enforcement/Military Police or Dept. of Corrections background Strongly Preferred)Must have your own 9mm WeaponArmed Security License for NYSMust have excellent written and communication skillsMust be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behaviorHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMust at least 21 years of ageAdditional Requirements:Armed Security Officers must pass the following requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations:New York State Unrestricted License to Carry PistolLaw Enforcement and/or Military backgroundArmed Security Officer Training Requalification (with the exception of "Exempt" Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS Department of Licensing):8 Hour NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course (non-firing) as required by Westchester County, New York47-Hour Firearms TrainCertification RequirementsArmed Security LicenseEducation RequirementsHigh School DiplomaAdditional Information / Benefits401K/403b PlanBenefit offerings vary based on contract/rolePaid Sick Days
