ReceptionistThe Receptionist serves as the first point of contact at NPRC for students, faculty, staff, parents, visitors, and vendors. This role combines warm hospitality, customer service, administrative support, and office coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate will greet visitors, handle communications, and support day-to-day office operations to ensure a productive environment for students, faculty, and staff.Essential Functions:Greet students, faculty, prospects, and other visitors warmly as they arrive.Manage and check in visitors and students directing or escorting them to the appropriate office, classroom, or staff member.Provide general information about the college services, office locations, events, and procedures.Assist visitors and remote staff with parking information and guidance.Respond to general inquiries in person, by phone, or by email.Guide students to the appropriate departments, resources, and services for routine administrative inquiries, including registration processes, forms, and deadlines.Operate multi-line phone system, answering and directing incoming phone calls.Schedule and confirm appointments while accurately maintaining the shared office calendars.Sort, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.Copy, file, scan, and maintain both paper and electronic institutional documents.Assist with department meetings, orientations, open houses, and special events.Manage communication between Facilities and cleaning services.Coordinate communication and logistics between outside groups reserving space and Facilities.Manage visitor check-in procedures for events.Obtain the monthly copier meter reading and replenish supplies as needed.Direct maintenance, utility, or service personnel to the appropriate location.Additional Eligibility Requirements:Consistent access to a vehicle and/or reliable means to get to work on time every workdayClearance Requirements:PA Child Abuse History ClearancePennsylvania Access To Criminal History Record CheckFederal Criminal History Background CheckTraining Certificate - Mandated and Permissive Reporting in PennsylvaniaPhysical Requirements:Ability to read, speak, and write in EnglishAbility to remember and understand instructions and guidelines.Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.Communicating with others to exchange information.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.Working Conditions/Work Schedule:Office Location: Warren Administrative Office, 300 Second Avenue, Warren, PennsylvaniaWork hours: Full-time employees are expected to work a minimum of 37 hours per week Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm Friday 8:30am – 4:30pmTravel Requirements:Infrequent travel requiredOther Duties:Perform other duties as assignedCampus Security Authority (CSA)Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
