Job description
Software Engineer III
Location: Frankfort, USA
Salary: $22/Hour
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to join the Walmart Sam’s Club technology team. The candidate will collaborate with architects and product teams to design, develop, and maintain high‑performing Java microservices that support the wide range of Sam’s Club member experiences.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and deploy Java‑based microservice solutions on cloud platforms.
Work closely with architects to translate functional requirements into scalable and maintainable code.
Apply engineering best practices and review code to ensure quality and consistency.
Provide low‑level design artifacts and support implementation of those designs.
Maintain application health through observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver functional features and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
Preferred
4+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficient in Java and microservices architecture.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
